《1937 戰火忘情》為一大型歌舞音樂劇，製作故事背景取自1937 年「淞滬會戰」，亦稱「上海戰役」。
‘1937 The Lost World’s Love’, is a grand musical based on the history of the Battle of Shanghai in 1937.
The story begins with a girl-guide by the name of Wendy, who brings a national flag to the regiment of 800 soldiers defending Sihang Warehouse. A National Revolutionary Army (NRA) second lieutenant by the name of Sheng, brings Wendy into focus when he encounters the enemy. The scene is set for a tragic love story that emerges in the midst of such a dramatic situation, where life and death are but a shadow apart. Because of the shortage of ammunition due to the ferocity and extreme callousness of the Japanese invasion, many of the soldiers simply have to abandon their weapons and supplies to go underground. Sheng’s special task is to stay in the occupied area to assassinate traitors and Japanese army chiefs. Unfortunately Wendy is implicated in the assassination attempt of a Japanese colonel. She is arrested and taken away by the Kempeitai – the secret police. When Wendy is finally rescued from the jail, she flees to a church with Sheng and her father. But sadly, the excruciating torture she is forced to endure is too much even for one as brave as Wendy.
Sheng loves Wendy and when he realises her life is coming to an end, he proposes to marry her. At the end, the priest presides over the marriage ceremony and Sheng conducts a funeral ceremony alone before the Eyes of God, as Wendy’s soul departs on its Heavenly journey.
